The reward for her dedication came when she became a co-author of a scientific paper published in Entrepreneurship Education (Springer, 2024).

Discovering a Passion for Research at MiYork
After graduating from high school, Hương Trân made the bold decision to take a two-year gap year to better understand herself and her passions. During this time, she actively joined debate activities to push her limits and learn from new challenges. By participating in tournaments and practicing tirelessly, she was exposed to diverse fields of knowledge and broadened her worldview.
That same curiosity and drive to learn led her to MiYork’s research program, where she wanted to gain proper training in academic research and writing.

First Steps into Research with a Favorite Topic
At MiYork, Hương Trân was introduced to academic research in a structured way for the first time. While exploring different topics, she discovered her deep interest in psychology—specifically, Adolescent Development. This subject resonated closely with her personal experiences while also allowing her to explore questions about young people’s inner growth.
With the dedicated guidance of mentors like Khoa, Tuyết, and the MiYork team, she learned step by step how to frame research questions, build a theoretical foundation, choose suitable methods, and present findings clearly. More than just a student, she became part of a small research community where every idea was valued and thoughtfully challenged.
Working with other students, Trân especially enjoyed group discussions where they brainstormed, debated, and refined ideas together. These were not just lessons but meaningful collaborative experiences that helped her grow both intellectually and academically. Her very first research project at MiYork became a milestone—not only a solid piece of academic work, but also a strong starting point for her future journey in psychology.

A Strong Academic Foundation Leading to International Success
Reflecting on her time at MiYork, Hương Trân shared that what she gained went far beyond a single research paper. The skills she learned—academic writing, research design, critical thinking—became invaluable assets when she later entered university in Germany.
When tackling more advanced, professional-level research projects, she realized how fortunate she was to have already built that foundation. She no longer struggled with the basics of where to begin or how to structure her work—MiYork had already equipped her with those tools.
Looking back, she sees her MiYork journey as a solid foundation that allowed her to delve deeper into psychology. Her persistence, willingness to explore, and readiness to take on challenges eventually led her to co-author a research paper published in Entrepreneurship Education (Springer, 2024).
